What is MoneyEDGE?

MoneyEDGE is a financial education platform built with South Africans in mind by Nedbank.

It’s an innovative financial tool teaching users how to get the most out of their money. Our free short online courses provide guidance in terms of saving, growing your money, debt management, investing and so much more.

Who can use MoneyEdge?

Do I have to be a South African citizen to register?

No, the website is available to anyone who wants to learn how to better manage their money to create the life they want.

Can I register and use the platform if I am not in South Africa?

Yes! You can access the platform from anywhere in the world!

Do I have to have a Nedbank account to register?

No, MoneyEDGE is a free service that is available to everyone even if you don’t currently bank with Nedbank.

Do you have to be over 18 to register?

No, it’s never too early (or too late) to learn new financial skills! However, please note that in order to enter any competitions associated with MoneyEDGE, you will have to be 18 and above.

How much does it cost to sign up?

It is free to sign up and use!

How do I Sign Up for MoneyEDGE?

It’s easy! Visit the MoneyEDGE website www.moneyedge.co.za and select the “Sign-Up Now” button in the menu. Alternatively, click here to sign up now.

What do I need to Sign up?

All you need to register on the MoneyEDGE platform is a valid email address, Google or Facebook account.

I didn’t receive an OTP via SMS or a verification email.

If you haven’t received your OTP, make sure you have an internet connection to receive your verification email or a mobile network signal to receive SMS and have entered the correct details. Please note that OTPs may be delayed due to your network. However, if you still don’t receive an OTP after 5 minutes, click the resend OTP option. If you still have trouble logging in, get in touch with us via our social media channel.

What percentage do I need to pass a course?

You need to achieve at least 60% to pass a course.

If I fail a course, can I try again?

Absolutely! You can try as many times as you like.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes! Each course ends with a “final exam” after which you will receive a certificate of completion once you have successfully completed each course. You will have the option to download your certificate. Once you have competed a course, you can then challenge yourself by signing up for additional courses relating to your interests.

Is this SAQA registered?

No, MoneyEDGE is not SAQA registered.

I forgot my password; how do I log in again?

If you have forgotten your password, select "Forgot Password" on the sign in page and follow the prompts.

I no longer have access to the email account or mobile number I signed up with, how can I log in again?

If you are unable to access the account, you signed up with you will need to create a new account with an alternative email or mobile number you have access to.

How do I sign out?

You can sign out by clicking on the profile icon in the menu bar and selecting “Sign Out”.

How do I track my performance/courses completed?

Once signed in to the MoneyEDGE platform, you can track your performance and completed courses from your My Course tab on the home page. All your enrolled courses with their completion percentages will be visible from there.

Will using MoneyEDGE attract data charges?

We have built the MoneyEDGE website to use as little data as possible. However, at this stage using the site will use data.

Can I access MoneyEDGE on multiple devices simultaneously?

Yes, you can sign in via any mobile or desktop device as long as you have an internet connection and access to your registered account to verify yourself as a user.
